The next attraction in line is the mighty Jaisalmer Fort, one of the world's largest fortification. Hovering on a hill around 80 m high, this fort was commissioned by Raja Rawal Jaisal, a Bhatti Ruler in 1156. This massive castle, also known as Sonar Quila, it is made up of sandstone. After exploring this colossal structure, you proceed to the strikingly sculpted Jain temples, made between 12th and 15th century. These beautiful temples are quite popular for delicate carvings. Next in line is the splendid Patwon Ki Haveli, Jaisalmer's first haveli, built in 1805 by Guman Chand Patwa.
